On the afternoon of February 25, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Da Nang City organized a meeting with candidates for the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term. On this occasion, the voter contact plan was agreed upon with a democratic and public spirit, considering the action program as a "measure" for people to supervise.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Tri Thanh, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City, emphasized that voter contact is an important step according to the law for candidates to exercise their right to campaign for elections.
According to Mr. Le Tri Thanh, this is not only an opportunity for candidates to present their plans and commitments if trusted, but also a legitimate request from voters to choose the most worthy representative.
The action program presented to voters will be an initial commitment. If elected, delegates will continue to improve and this is the basis for voters to supervise and evaluate the effectiveness of activities throughout the term," affirmed the Chairman of the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.

To support candidates, the Organizing Committee has provided complete documents on the socio-economic situation, national defense - security of Da Nang. This is an important database for candidates to research and develop action programs that are close to reality, and properly solve the issues that people are concerned about.
Providing information about the implementation plan, Mr. Nguyen Phi Hung - Standing Vice Chairman of the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee said that in this phase, Da Nang has 24 candidates for National Assembly deputies of the 16th term (electing 14 deputies) and 125 candidates for City People's Council deputies of the 11th term (electing 76 deputies). At the commune level, there are 3,121 candidates to elect 1,907 deputies.
A new point in the voter contact work this time is the flexibility in the form of organization. In addition to direct meetings, the city will combine online forms to create the most favorable conditions for voters in large or difficult areas to travel.
The overarching principle is to ensure democracy, openness and equality among candidates. The content of the election campaign must be within the scope of law, absolutely not campaigning outside the official list. Most of the time of the conferences will be spent for candidates to dialogue, listen to the thoughts and expectations of local people.
In the list of 24 candidates for National Assembly deputies in Da Nang, there are many faces who are leading experts, representatives of central and local agencies.
Leaders of the City Front hope that each candidate, regardless of position, will show a spirit of receptiveness and seriousness to the people.
