Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters before the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central Organizations, term 2025 - 2030, Major General Ho Ba Vinh - Deputy Head of the Veterans Affairs Department - Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association said that since its inception, the top important political task of the Vietnam Veterans Association has been to participate in building and protecting the Party and State, protecting the regime and the people.
For more than 35 years, this has always been the political responsibility that the Vietnam Veterans Association has identified at the highest level, while excellently completing the task, becoming a solid support for the Party, State, Party committees at all levels, as well as a bridge in the blood relationship between the Party, State and People.
The second task that the Vietnam Veterans Association has done very well, becoming a typical, traditional and unique feature of the organization, is to participate, help each other reduce poverty, and do a good job in the economy.
With the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, the will, determination and determination not to endure poverty, the desire to rise up, the members promoted their abilities, forming the movement "Veteranes help each other reduce poverty, do good business".
The more difficult and challenging it is, the more strongly this movement is promoted. Typically, during the COVID-19 pandemic, when the supply chain was broken due to trade war and armed conflict, more than 8,000 enterprises of the Veterans Association continued to rise; especially farms, cooperatives, and family farms owned by veterans still maintained operations and promoted efficiency.
In particular, the Veterans Association is always exemplary in digital transformation and innovation in both management, production, product consumption and business activities.
"Recently, we organized a seminar to evaluate the results of implementing Decision 924 on the digital transformation program in building new rural areas, towards smart new rural areas, for the period 2021-2025 and Resolution 57 of the Politburo.
The Central Association has organized talks in 5 regions nationwide, thereby showing that digital transformation models in agriculture, production and business activities of veteran members have been implemented very well, very early and creatively. We will discuss these contents at the Congress," Major General Ho Ba Vinh emphasized.
The third task of the Association is to coordinate with mass organizations to educate revolutionary traditions, heroic history, national spirit and will to the younger generation, with the spirit of both political responsibility, enthusiasm, experience and exemplary behavior.
The Congress took place in a very special context
Mr. Vinh recalled the event of the August Revolution and National Day parade and National Day on September 2, expressing his emotion when witnessing the Veterans from many provinces and cities returning to Hanoi to attend. Many men do not have a place to rest, but have been supported by young people and organizations to arrange accommodation, even taking good positions to watch the army pass.

At the first Congress of Delegates, term 2025 - 2030 of the Fatherland Front Party Committee and Central organizations, Major General Vinh said that the country is entering a new revolution, a new era.
This Congress is still an extensive political activity, but more special when taking place in the context of strong national growth. This is an important milestone, which will certainly create synthetic strength with the direct leadership, direction and closer companionship and coordination of socio-political organizations, towards the common goal of creating the great national unity bloc.
