The first Congress of the An Giang Provincial Journalists Association - an organization recently merged from the Journalists Associations of An Giang and Kien Giang provinces - (term 2026-2031) took place on August 27-28. The Congress marked an important turning point after the merger, and determined: to continue to use technology as a lever to comprehensively innovate operations as well as build a modern press.
A prominent highlight of promoting the application of digital technology in recent times is the operation of the General Electronic Information Page "An Giang Journalists". This information channel has attracted more than 1 million visits, becoming an effective online professional forum. In addition, the rate of digitization of internal operating documents of the Association also reached over 90%.
In parallel with the flow of technology, the Association still focuses on preserving traditional values, towards celebrating the 100th anniversary of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day.
Typically, the production of the documentary "Kien Giang Journalism - Glorious Journeys" and the publication of the book "Rach Gia Provincial Press and Information Sub-Committee - Unforgettable Years". Gratitude activities, Spring Press Festival, and Press Sports Festival continue to bring positive social effects.
Entering the 2026-2031 term, with the motto "Solidarity - Creativity - Professionalism - Humanity", the An Giang Provincial Journalists Association sets the highest determination to realize the goal: "Silient bravery, content creation, mastering technology, serving the Fatherland".
