On November 30, the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City, term 2025-2030, held a solemn session.
At the Congress, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President - General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, gave a speech emphasizing the role and responsibility of the Front in the context of the new city and action orientations in the coming time.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha affirmed that this Congress is a Forum for the city's people to promote the strength of national solidarity, join hands, be unanimous, and pioneer in the new era, building Ho Chi Minh City to develop sustainably for the happiness of the people.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha suggested that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City should closely follow the Resolution of the City Party Congress and the profound and comprehensive instructions of Comrade Tran Luu Quang, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee. Deeply grasp the direction of General Secretary To Lam at the Congress of the Fatherland Front Party Committee and Central organizations.
Participating in solving major problems of the city, strongly innovating the content and methods of operation, ensuring the leading and core role of the Front, but still promoting the initiative and creativity of each member organization.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha emphasized the goal of shifting from a formal movement to a practical result, focusing on the grassroots and taking the people as the center in all activities of the Front. At the same time, the Ho Chi Minh City Front was commended for not only doing a good job of caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the city's people, but also performing very well other noble common tasks. She cited that Ho Chi Minh City is being assigned by the Politburo and is performing a very good task of supporting the people of Khanh Hoa province to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and floods.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha also affirmed that in the work of the Front, Ho Chi Minh City is the leading locality in the country with many good models and creative ways of doing things.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha suggested a number of activities that need to be implemented in the coming time, such as implementing the Digital Front Portal, evaluating the social trust index, the community security index, organizing "Listening to the People", organizing the People's Forum and organizing social dialogues as well as new activities under the direction of the General Secretary.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City launched the application "HCMC Digital Social Security"; commended volunteers for participating in overcoming damage caused by storms and floods; received support from the Fund for the Poor and the City's relief sources; presented financial support for implementing social security to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the commune level.
