On the occasion of the 2570th Buddha's Birthday - Solar Calendar 2026, on May 30, a working delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Member of the Presidium, Head of the Committee for Ethnic Minorities and Religions of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) visited and congratulated Venerable Vien Minh - Deputy Supreme Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Certification Council at Buu Long Pagoda.
Attending the delegation was Ms. Le Thi Hoa - Head of the Democracy and Social Review Supervision Board of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Member of the Presidium, Head of the Committee for Ethnic Minorities and Religions of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front sent greetings and congratulations from Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to Venerable Vien Minh.
Through this, sending wishes to the venerable dignitaries of the Patronage Council; monks, nuns, Buddhists, residents of the Governing Council and Buddhist compatriots at home and abroad of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha for a peaceful, united and harmonious Buddha's Birthday.
Looking back at the historical length of the nation, Vietnamese Buddhism has always accompanied the nation, closely associated with the cause of building and defending the country. The tradition of protecting the country and pacifying the people has become a good value, throughout the development process of Vietnamese Buddhism.
In the resistance wars for national liberation and reunification, Vietnamese Buddhism, together with the entire people, created the strength of great unity, making an important contribution to the cause of fighting for national independence.
In the cause of renovation and international integration, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, venerable monks and nuns and Buddhist compatriots continue to accompany the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the people to actively contribute to the common development of the country.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh emphasized that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will continue to accompany, coordinate and create favorable conditions for the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha to successfully organize important events in 2026 as well as in the coming time.

After that, the working delegation visited and congratulated Venerable Thich Giac Toan - Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Director of the Vietnam Institute of Buddhist Studies at Minh Dang Quang Dharma Institute and Venerable Thich Thien Tam - Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha at Pho Minh Pagoda.
