On the occasion of Vesak 2026 - Buddhist calendar 2570, on the afternoon of May 29, in Hanoi, Ms. Ha Thi Nga, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President - Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front visited and congratulated Venerable Thich Thanh Quyet, Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Head of the Buddhist Education Department, Director of the Vietnam Buddhist Academy.
On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vice President - Secretary General Ha Thi Nga respectfully conveyed the best wishes of Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to all dignitaries and monks, nuns, Buddhist followers of Vietnamese Buddhism to always have good health and joyfully celebrate the Vesak.

Vice President - General Secretary Ha Thi Nga affirmed that the Vietnam Fatherland Front always recognizes the contributions of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the past time, especially in the context that the country has just gone through many difficulties and challenges due to climate change, natural disasters, floods... In that context, the spirit of patriotism, the strength of the great national unity bloc is promoted more strongly than ever. Especially the joint efforts of all classes of people, including the enthusiastic response of dignitaries, monks, nuns, Buddhists, implementing the spirit of living "good life, beautiful religion", contributing to the locality's successful implementation of socio-economic development goals, actively responding to emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front such as the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized cities", promoting the role of religion in participating in environmental protection and response to climate change...
The image of religious dignitaries, especially Buddhism in the locality, is very close, associated with people's lives. Whether in urban or remote areas, everywhere there is the image of Buddhism accompanying the nation," Vice President - General Secretary Ha Thi Nga emphasized.

According to Vice Chairman - General Secretary Ha Thi Nga, this Vesak festival takes place after the success of the 14th Party Congress; the success of the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and deputies of People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; especially immediately after the success of the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2026-2031.
The Congress has proposed many specific action programs, with breakthroughs, focusing on promoting the role of religions, contributing to building a prosperous and strong country in the new era.
Vice President - Secretary General Ha Thi Nga wished that in the coming time, Venerable Thich Thanh Quyet and the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha will continue to accompany the Vietnam Fatherland Front to promote the strength of great national unity, contributing to the successful implementation of the country's development goals in the new era.
She also hopes that the Vietnam Buddhist Academy will continue to operate effectively, inherit the mission of propagating Buddhism and serving humanity, and truly be a place to converge the heart, virtue and wisdom of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.
