Encouraging families of stilt house fired in Gia Lai

Gia Lai - Mr. Mut's family was visited and encouraged by the government and organizations to overcome difficulties after the fierce stilt house fire.

On May 12, representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Lai province visited and presented gifts to the family of Mr. Dinh Mut (Rong Tnia village, Kong Chro commune) who was in difficulty due to a fire.

At the place of visit, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Siu Trung province cordially inquired about the health and current life of Mr. Dinh Mut's family, and encouraged the family to overcome immediate difficulties to soon stabilize their lives.

On this occasion, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee presented support to the family with the amount of 2 million VND.

As Lao Dong Newspaper reported, at about 4:30 pm on May 8, a fire burned down the stilt house and many assets of Mr. Dinh Mut's family.

At the time of the fire, Mr. Mut and his wife were working in the fields, only his son was at home.

When the fire was discovered, the son shouted for villagers to come to help put out the fire but failed. The fire broke out fiercely, burning down the entire stilt house of about 140 m2 along with many valuable assets and essential household items of the family.

Fortunately, the fire did not cause any casualties. However, total property damage is estimated at more than 100 million VND. The initial cause was determined to be an electrical short circuit.
