On the afternoon of May 11, Hanoi City Police officially announced the fire that occurred at Volume Club karaoke bar on Le Duc Tho street, Tu Liem ward.
According to Hanoi City Police, at about 10:20 am on May 11, 2026, Command Information Center 114 received a report of a fire at a restaurant belonging to Volume Business Household, address No. 10, alley 63 Le Duc Tho, Tu Liem ward, Hanoi City.
Immediately after receiving the news, the Command Information Center of Hanoi City Police mobilized 6 fire trucks, 1 ladder truck, 1 smoke extraction truck, 1 extender truck, 4 command vehicles and 2 trucks carrying vehicles and more than 70 officers and soldiers of the Fire and Rescue and Rescue Teams No. 2, 10, 11, 16, 17 of the Fire and Rescue Police Department quickly arrived at the scene.
Traffic Police, Tu Liem Ward Police and the Capital High Command, local authorities and local forces also coordinated to deploy firefighting, rescue and relief.
At the scene, the house where the fire occurred has an area of about 182m2, 2 above-ground floors, doing business in dining, coffee, and beverage services. The fire developed large, emitting a lot of toxic smoke and is at risk of spreading to neighboring areas. Initial verification shows that people are trapped inside the building.
The Commander of the Fire and Rescue Police directed forces to use specialized fire fighting, rescue and salvage equipment to approach the fire area, search and rescue victims. At the same time, many firefighting teams were deployed from adjacent directions to prevent the fire from spreading.
Because the fire generated a lot of smoke, toxic gases and high temperatures, the work of approaching the scene, organizing reconnaissance and firefighting encountered many difficulties.
At about 11:40 am on the same day, the fire was controlled, preventing the fire from spreading. Forces continued to dismantle and approach the scene to put out the fire, clear smoke and search for victims.
At about 12:30 pm on the same day, the fire was basically extinguished. The Fire and Rescue Police force continued to extinguish embers, cool components and search for victims.
At about 4:30 pm, functional forces discovered 1 body in the fire and handed it over to the medical agency.
The Director of Hanoi City Police directed the Investigation Police Agency to coordinate with functional forces to urgently verify, investigate, and clarify the cause of the fire for handling according to the provisions of law.
