According to reports, voters throughout the province actively participated in voting, many localities had a 100% election rate. The whole province had 2,418,951/2,422,812 voters participating, reaching a rate of 99.84%.
As a result, Gia Lai province elected enough delegates as prescribed. Among them, 16/28 people were elected as National Assembly deputies of the 16th term; 85/136 people were elected as provincial People's Council deputies for the 2026-2031 term; 2,964/2,977 people were elected as commune-level People's Council deputies.
Mr. Thai Dai Ngoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial Election Committee - said that the election took place successfully, ensuring democracy, law, safety and truly a festival for the whole people.
The results of the election clearly demonstrated the people's sense of responsibility and belief in the Party and the State. This is a remarkable result, continuing the success of Party Congresses at all levels; in the context of operating the 2-level local government model.
Mr. Thai Dai Ngoc requested all levels, sectors, and localities to prepare very well for personnel work to organize the first session of the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term in accordance with regulations, ensuring that the local government apparatus comes into operation no later than April 1.
Immediately after the first session of the People's Councils at all levels, urgently complete the dossiers to submit to competent authorities for approval of the titles of Chairman and Vice Chairman of People's Committees at all levels, no later than March 31.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council will soon report the results of the first session of the Provincial People's Council to the National Assembly Standing Committee and the Government, no later than April 3.
