The province has identified 2,179 voting areas and established 2,179 election teams to serve the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, ensuring progress and requirements according to regulations.
According to the official list, in Gia Lai province, there are 28 candidates for National Assembly deputies of the 16th term in 6 electoral units to elect 16 deputies. The Provincial Election Commission (UBBC) has also announced 136 candidates for Provincial People's Council deputies for the 2026-2031 term in 18 electoral units to elect 85 deputies. UBBC 135 communes and wards has also completed the announcement of the official list of 4,957 candidates to elect 2,977 deputies.

From March 2 to 13, candidates for the 16th National Assembly will meet with voters at 72 locations in the candidate area to campaign for elections. From March 6 to 9, candidates for the 2026-2031 term of the Provincial People's Council will also organize meetings with voters at 129 locations and clusters.
Along with that, tasks on propaganda, ensuring political security, social order and safety, health, resolving complaints and denunciations, funds and facilities serving elections were deployed synchronously by localities.
According to Mr. Thai Dai Ngoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial UBBC, there are only a few days left until the election day, while the workload is still very large. To ensure that the election takes place democratically, in accordance with the law, safely, economically and successfully, Party committees, authorities, UBBC, Fatherland Front and the entire political system in the province must not be subjective or negligent.
Election organizations closely monitor the area, strengthen inspection of each voting area, promptly remove difficulties and obstacles, and provide professional guidance to election teams.
Continue to review, consolidate, and strengthen the organization in charge of elections when necessary, especially preparing contingency personnel in case of force majeure. It is necessary to carefully check and promptly remove from the list of members of the organization in charge of elections for cases that do not meet regulations.
Gia Lai Provincial Party Secretary requested to regularly review and update voter lists, ensure accuracy and finalize lists before 24:00 on the 13th. 3. Pay special attention to sick, elderly, disabled, temporarily residing voters, workers, students... to promptly guide and ensure voting rights according to regulations; and promptly resolve complaints related to voter lists.
Levels and sectors must firmly grasp the situation, thoroughly resolve complaints and denunciations related to election work, and prevent mass and over-level complaints from occurring.
On election day March 15, localities organized the opening ceremony in the correct order and ritual; voting took place from 7 am to 7 pm. UBBC members strengthened inspection and supervision of the voting area and promptly handled arising situations according to their authority.
Immediately after the voting ends, vote counting must be carried out in accordance with regulations, ensuring publicity and transparency; use software to support summarizing results to ensure progress and accuracy.
Gia Lai Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that the election is an important political task of the entire Party Committee, the entire people and the entire army. Therefore, all levels, sectors and all cadres and party members need to uphold the spirit of responsibility, proactively deploy assigned tasks, and be determined to successfully organize the election in the area.
