On March 6, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quy Nhon Dong ward (Gia Lai) organized a meeting with voters with candidates for the 13th Gia Lai Provincial People's Council, term 2026-2031, at constituency No. 1.
The candidates include: Mr. Pham Anh Tuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee; Major General Le Quang Nhan - Director of Gia Lai Provincial Police;
Ms. To Thi Thu Huong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Quy Nhon Ward; Mr. Dang Manh Cuong - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Quy Nhon Nam Ward; Mr. Huynh Ngoc Hoang - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Quy Nhon Dong Ward; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Bich - Specialist of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quy Nhon Nam Ward; Mr. Vo Tong Hon - Teacher of Nhon Binh Primary School No. 1; Mr. Duong Dinh Phi - Youth Union member, militia soldier of Nhon Chau commune.

At the conference, after listening to a summary of their biography and working process, each candidate presented their draft action program.
Speaking to voters, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan said that constituency No. 1 is the central area, playing a driving role in the development of trade, services and marine tourism associated with the urban economy of the province. However, this area also sets high requirements for urban management, environmental protection and synchronous infrastructure investment.
Over the past time, the province has prioritized resources for urban embellishment, completing technical infrastructure and improving the quality of urban services, contributing to making the appearance of the coastal city increasingly spacious and modern.
Being introduced as a candidate for the Provincial People's Council for the 2026-2031 term, I clearly understand my responsibility to voters. If trusted, I will seriously perform my role as a democratically elected representative, maintain regular contact with the people, and promptly reflect the thoughts and legitimate aspirations of voters.
At the same time, continue to strive to successfully complete the assigned tasks, contributing to building Gia Lai province to develop sustainably and improve the quality of life of people," said Mr. Pham Anh Tuan.

At the conference, voters expressed their agreement with the action program of the candidates and said that the capacity and qualifications of the candidates basically meet the requirements of elected representatives.
Voters hope that the elected people will propose that the Provincial People's Council continue to maintain the policy of supporting cremation for people with a level of 9 million VND per case. Because this is a humane policy, contributing to reducing the pressure of cemetery land and supporting families in difficult circumstances.
Along with that, voters reflected some inadequacies in population data such as inaccurate and duplicate information; the update of addresses after moving from village to neighborhood is still slow...

Ms. Cao Thi Nguyet (76 years old, voter of Quy Nhon Dong ward) said that the contents raised at the conference show the people's expectations for the development of the locality. However, what voters are most concerned about is the implementation of commitments after being elected.
The important thing is not only the promise but also the specific actions. Everyone can say it, but whether it can be done or not is what the people expect. I hope that the delegates after being elected will always be close to the people, close to the people, listen to the opinions of the people to contribute to bringing Gia Lai province to develop more comprehensively," Ms. Nguyet expressed.
On behalf of the candidates, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan acknowledged the frank opinions and recommendations of voters. He said that many issues raised by voters are also contents that have been raised in the action program of the candidates, and are also tasks that the Provincial People's Committee is focusing on directing and operating.
Regarding contents under the authority of the locality, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan requested relevant agencies to review and immediately implement and emphasized the viewpoint "what has been said must be done".
