On March 6, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee announced the organization of the Opening Week of the National Tourism Year - Gia Lai 2026. The Week takes place from March 23 to 30 with a series of cultural, tourism, investment promotion and international cooperation events.
The highlight of the week is the Opening Ceremony of the National Tourism Year - Gia Lai 2026, taking place from 8:10 PM to 9:30 PM on March 28th at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square.
The art program is themed "Gia Lai - The Great Forest Touches the Blue Sea". After the opening ceremony, the organizers plan to set off fireworks to serve people and tourists.
Before the opening ceremony, Gia Lai province will organize many activities to promote potential and attract investment. In which, the Gia Lai Province Investment Promotion Conference 2026 is expected to take place at 7:30 am on March 28 at the Provincial Convention Center, with about 1,000 delegates attending.
On March 27, delegates will visit and survey a number of industrial parks, tourist attractions and investment potential areas in the province.
Also on March 27, the Gia Lai Tourism Economic Development Forum 2026 will be held at the Provincial Conference Center to discuss solutions to promote tourism to become an important economic sector of the locality.
At FLC Luxury Resort Quy Nhon, a seminar will take place with the theme "Gia Lai activates green economy - Real estate, tourism, aviation take off together".
Within the framework of the week, Gia Lai province also organized the signing of cooperation agreements with southern Laos and northeastern Cambodia from March 28 to 29, and also welcomed ambassadors and consuls general to participate in the "Friendly Spring Trip" program to promote local tourism potential.
In addition, many cultural, sports and tourism experiences will be organized such as the "Gia Lai Culinary Essence 2026" program at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square from March 27 to 29 with about 55-60 food and OCOP product booths; international seminar on medicinal plants and natural compounds at the ICISE Center from March 26 to 28; "Gia Lai Coffee Tour" program at coffee farms.
There are also sports activities such as cycling, Binh Dinh arena and pickleball tournaments.
According to Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, the series of events aims to promote the local image, and at the same time create opportunities to attract investment, promote tourism and socio-economic development of the province in the coming time.
