On August 4, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tay Nha Trang ward organized a ceremony to hand over the Great Solidarity house to the family of Ms. Vo Thi Hoa, a near-poor household in Residential Group 23/10.
After nearly two months of construction, Ms. Vo Thi Hoa's house has been completed and put into use.
The repaired items include replacing the roof, raising the foundation, painting and repairing, making the 2nd floor plaster ceiling, renovating the electricity and water systems, and many other essential items.
The total cost of 75 million VND is sponsored by Khanh Hoa Water Supply and Drainage Joint Stock Company.
This is one of the 4 houses supported by businesses through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tay Nha Trang ward, with a total budget of 375 million VND.
In which, one house is supported for new construction with a level of 150 million VND for policy households, Ms. Tran Thi Quanh; the remaining three houses are supported for repair, each house 75 million VND, for households of Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Nu, Ms. Le Thi Kinh and Ms. Vo Thi Hoa.
Ms. Tran Thi Hong Van, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, said that the program to support the construction and repair of Great Solidarity houses is a practical activity, showing the concern of Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, businesses and the community for policy families, poor and near-poor households and households in difficult housing circumstances.
New houses not only help people have a safe and stable place to live to feel secure in working and developing the economy, but also contribute to effectively implementing social security, sustainable poverty reduction and consolidating the great national unity bloc in the area.
After handing over the houses, the Fatherland Front Committees of residential groups will continue to monitor and support households to access social security policies such as health insurance, preferential loans, livelihood support, and job creation if they meet the conditions.
At the same time, the locality continues to mobilize businesses, organizations, and philanthropists to support more essential household items so that households can soon stabilize their lives.
Up to now, after a year of implementing the two-level local government model, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tay Nha Trang ward has mobilized resources to build and repair 15 Great Solidarity houses for near-poor households and policy families with a total budget of more than 1 billion VND.
This is one of the outstanding activities in the local social security care work, contributing to improving living conditions for people in difficult circumstances.
