In the official dispatch, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front said that, based on Notice No. 108/TB-VPCP dated March 6, 2026 of the Government Office on the Conclusion of Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Head of the National Steering Committee for searching, repatriating and identifying martyrs' remains, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front proposed that the Committees of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in localities and member organizations of the Vietnam Fatherland Front respond to participate in the Campaign "500 days and nights to promote the search, repatriation and identification of martyrs' remains".
Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front proposed that the Committees of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in localities and member organizations of the Vietnam Fatherland Front deeply understand that this is a particularly important, sacred political task, of noble humanitarian significance and needs to be associated with the responsibility of the head in organizing implementation; proactively develop specific implementation plans, associated with patriotic emulation movements, campaigns to respond to the Campaign "500 days and nights to promote the search, repatriation and identification of martyrs' remains" (from March 15, 2026 to July 27, 2027), ensuring practicality, effectiveness, and suitability to the actual conditions of localities and units.
Along with that, promote propaganda, focus on applying information technology and digital platforms to widely spread the meaning and goals of the campaign; promote the overall strength, mobilize the joint efforts of member organizations, the companionship of businesses, intellectuals, scientists and people from all walks of life; mobilize people, especially veterans and historical witnesses, to provide information about martyrs and martyrs' graves, contributing to the work of searching for and identifying martyrs' identities.
Strengthen supervision and social criticism of the campaign implementation, especially the implementation of guidelines, policies, and laws related to the search, gathering, and identification of martyrs' remains; promptly detect and propose solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles; promptly reflect the thoughts and aspirations of martyrs' relatives, contributing to improving the effectiveness of the search, gathering, and identification of martyrs' remains that lack information.
The Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front also requested the Committees of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in localities and member organizations of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to pay attention to, encourage the spirit, and acknowledge the contributions of forces and individuals to the campaign; promptly detect, commend, and reward collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements and replicate good models and effective practices.
