On the afternoon of December 4, the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Dong Thap province, term 2025 - 2030, opened its first working session. Attending were Mr. Phan Van Thang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, specialized agencies advising and assisting the Provincial Party Committee and provincial departments, branches and sectors and 350 official delegates representing all classes, classes of people, ethnic groups and religions in the province.
With the spirit of "Solidarity - Innovation - Accompanying - Developing", the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Dong Thap province aims to: "Innovating the content and methods of operation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations; promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc and the role of mastery, the spirit of self-reliance, cooperation, improving the lives of the people, building Dong Thap province to develop rapidly and sustainably".
In that spirit, Mr. Phan Van Thang suggested that each delegate promote their intelligence to contribute opinions, implement the program and working regulations well, contribute to the success of the congress, meet the trust and expectations of the Front cadres in the entire system and all classes of people in the province.
This is also a special Congress, when before the opening day, the Organizing Committee officially issued information about not receiving congratulatory flowers, accordingly, organizations and individuals with hearts and requests to transform by donating to the Provincial Fund for the Poor.
According to the plan, the Congress will take place over 2 days, focusing on discussing and voting on important contents, such as: summarizing and evaluating the results of implementing the action program for the 2024 - 2029 term, drawing lessons; discussing and setting out goals, targets, directions and action programs for the 2025 - 2030 term; consulting to elect the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, term I, 2025 - 2030 and consulting to elect delegations to attend the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2026 - 2031.
