The 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front opened on the morning of May 12 in Hanoi

On the morning of May 12, at the National Convention Center, Hanoi Capital, the opening ceremony of the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2026-2031, will take place.

According to the Organizing Committee, the total number of official delegates convened to attend the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), term 2026 - 2031 is 1,136 delegates.

In which, the natural delegates are 362 delegates who are members of the 10th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Delegates elected by provincial-level Congresses and member organizations are 705 delegates including: 129 delegates elected by member organizations at the Central level; 576 delegates elected by the Congresses of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of provinces and cities in consultation.

Appointed delegates include 69 delegates who are delegates introduced for the first time to participate in the 11th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, including: 11 representatives of member organizations; 2 provincial-level Chairmen of the Fatherland Front; 24 intellectuals and experts; 4 representatives of the Workers, Farmers, and Armed Forces structure; 11 ethnic minorities; 5 religious dignitaries; 6 people from economic sectors; 1 person who is a Vietnamese person residing abroad; 5 people who are full-time officials of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

The composition of delegates attending includes, 381 female delegates accounting for 33.5%); 528 non-Party delegates accounting for 46.4%; 274 ethnic minority delegates accounting for 24.1%; 207 religious delegates accounting for 18.2%; 17 overseas Vietnamese delegates accounting for 1.6%; 157 business delegates accounting for 13.8%; 360 delegates are full-time Fatherland Front officials accounting for 31.6%. Among them, with a university degree or higher, there are 899, accounting for 79%: Professors, Associate Professors - Doctors are 67; Doctors are 111; Masters are 316; Universities, bachelors are 405.

Regarding the age of participation in the Congress, under 30 years old: 37 people (3.3%); From 31 to 40 years old: 128 people (11.2%); From 41 to 50 years old: 294 people (25.8%); From 51 to 60 years old: 326 people (28.8%); From 61 to 70 years old: 221 people (19.4%); From 71 to 80 years old: 111 people (9.8%); From 81 years old and over: 19 people (1.7%);

The oldest delegate: 97 years old, born in 1929 (General Vo So, Chairman of the Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh Trail Traditional Association of Vietnam).

Youngest delegate: 23 years old, born in 2003 (Ms. Lo Thi Nga, typical individual, Lao ethnic person, Muong Luan 1 village, Muong Luan commune, Dien Bien province).

The Congress is an event of important socio-political significance, demonstrating the strength of the great national unity bloc in the new era, taking place immediately after the success of the 14th National Party Congress and the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term, People's Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term.

The Congress is a historical milestone, opening the term of operating a new apparatus with a new position, stature and development path after completing the policy of arranging socio-political organizations and mass associations assigned by the Party and State to be directly under the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Creativity - Development", the Congress identified directions, goals and action programs for the 2026 - 2031 term to meet the requirements of reality.

At the same time, affirming the political core role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in building and promoting the tradition of patriotism, the strength of great national unity, joining hands and hearts with the entire Party, army, and nation to successfully implement the goals of national development to 2030, vision to 2045, and achievements to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (1930 - 2030), and the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front (1930 - 2030).
