On April 24, the Fire and Rescue Police Department - Ho Chi Minh City Police informed that the unit promptly rescued 7 trapped people and guided safe evacuation for about 300 residents to the ground.
According to initial information, at 7:20 PM on April 23, a sudden fire occurred in an apartment on the 16th floor of a high-rise apartment building on Nguyen Huu Canh street, Rach Dua ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
Immediately upon receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Police Team of Area 24 quickly dispatched 1 command vehicle, 2 fire trucks, 1 ladder truck, 1 vehicle and 30 officers and soldiers to the scene. Only 3 minutes after arriving, functional forces deployed on-site fire fighting vehicles of the building to approach the fire point.
At the same time, reconnaissance teams quickly approached neighboring apartments, promptly rescued 7 trapped people and guided safe evacuation for about 300 residents.
Thanks to smooth coordination and high sense of responsibility, by 7:45 pm, the fire was basically under control and by 7:55 pm it was completely extinguished. Fortunately, the fire did not cause any casualties.
Currently, functional agencies are summarizing property damage and investigating to clarify the cause of the incident.
