On February 5, the Party Committee of Dong Hung Thuan ward had a quick report on a serious fire that occurred in the area, killing 3 people. According to initial information, at nearly 1 am on the same day, people living in alley 17 To Ky street suddenly heard many loud explosions. Immediately after that, smoke and fire rose fiercely from a house.

This is a level-4 house built with brick walls and corrugated iron roof. Upon receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Police Team of Area 12 quickly mobilized vehicles and soldiers to approach the scene. After about 15 minutes of firefighting efforts, the fire was completely extinguished.

At the scene, functional forces discovered 3 deceased victims, Ms. P.T. M. L (44 years old) and two young children N.P. M. Nh (14 years old) and N.P. M. Ng (6 years old). Initially, the victims were suspected of dying from smoke inhalation. The house had 4 people, but at the time of the fire, Ms. L's husband was on a business trip in Lam Dong province, so he luckily escaped.

Currently, Dong Hung Thuan Ward Police are coordinating with professional units to blockade the scene, take statements from witnesses to investigate and clarify the cause of the fire.
