On February 5, at Binh Hung Hoa Funeral Home, a delegation of Ho Chi Minh City leaders led by Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, visited, encouraged and provided initial support to the families of the victims in the fire in Dong Hung Thuan ward.
Accompanying the delegation were the Party Committee - People's Committee of Dong Hung Thuan ward and representatives of local organizations. Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc sent his deepest condolences for the family's great loss, and at the same time directed functional agencies to focus on supporting the funeral and soon stabilize the lives of the victim's relatives.

In addition, Dong Hung Thuan ward, along with all levels of government and unions, has provided initial support of 100 million VND to help the family overcome temporary difficulties.

On February 5, the Party Committee of Dong Hung Thuan ward had a quick report on a serious fire that occurred in the area, killing 3 people. According to initial information, at nearly 1 am on the same day, people living in alley 17 To Ky street suddenly heard many loud explosions. Immediately after that, smoke and fire rose fiercely from a house.
This is a level-4 house built with brick walls and corrugated iron roof. Upon receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Police Team of Area 12 quickly mobilized vehicles and soldiers to approach the scene. After about 15 minutes of firefighting efforts, the fire was completely extinguished.
At the scene, functional forces discovered 3 deceased victims, Ms. P.T. M. L (44 years old) and two young children N.P. M. Nh (14 years old) and N.P. M. Ng (6 years old). Initially, the victims were suspected of dying from smoke inhalation. The house had 4 people, but at the time of the fire, Ms. L's husband was on a business trip in Lam Dong province, so he luckily escaped.
Currently, Dong Hung Thuan Ward Police are coordinating with professional units to blockade the scene, take statements from witnesses to investigate and clarify the cause of the fire.
