33 works won the Press Award on Cultural Development, Building elegant Hanoians

On the evening of October 19, at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Heritage Site, the Hanoi Party Committee held the 8th Press Award Ceremony for Cultural Development and Building Elegant and Civilized Hanoians - 2025.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Doan Toan - Head of the Hanoi Party Committee's Propaganda Department said that the Press Award on Cultural Development and Building Elegant and Civilized Hanoians is an initiative of profound political, social and humanitarian significance of the Hanoi Party Committee, held annually since 2018.

After 8 seasons of organization, the Award has become a prestigious brand of the capital's press, a forum to honor the intelligence, enthusiasm and social responsibility of the team of journalists in the process of building and developing Hanoi's culture and people.

In 2025, the Award attracted more than 350 works from 35 press agencies, vividly reflecting the cultural life of the Capital - from heritage conservation, cultural industry development to building public service culture, school culture, and civilized urban lifestyle.

Many works not only have practical reflection value but are also a valuable source of documents serving the propaganda, research and cultural policy making of the City; at the same time, contributing to spreading good values, arousing pride, creativity and aspiration to contribute of Hanoi people.

In the form of innovation and creativity, the press continues to concretize the Party's policies and resolutions, promote good models, effective methods, honor outstanding collectives and individuals in the movement "Good people, good deeds", the campaign "Hanoi people behave beautifully",..., contributing to building the capital "Cultured - Civilized - Modern".

Through the fair and objective final round, the Final Round Council met and agreed to select the 33 best press works to award the Award (including 3 A prizes, 5 B prizes, 10 C prizes and 15 Encouragement prizes); at the same time, 2 typical press agencies with many quality works were also selected to participate in the award.

Mr. Toan said that in the coming time, the Hanoi Party Committee will continue to synchronously and comprehensively implement the tasks of developing the capital's culture, ensuring harmony between immediate requirements and long-term vision; both inheriting and promoting traditional cultural values, while encouraging innovation, creativity and deep integration - demonstrating the aspiration to strongly rise up of the thousand-year-old capital.
