Rapid economic growth, synchronous investment infrastructure
Tran Hung Dao ward was established on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population of Le Loi commune, Hung Dao commune and part of Cong Hoa ward (old Chi Linh city). After the merger, the ward has an area of 66.89 km2, including 28 residential groups with a population of 35,932 people; the Party Committee has 48 grassroots Party organizations and 1,678 Party members.
In the 2020-2025 term, the previous localities have achieved many important results. The economy maintains a high growth rate, the economic scale is 1.7 times higher than in 2020. The economic structure has shifted positively towards urbanization. There are 56 enterprises and 1,339 individual business households in operation in the area, with total state budget revenue for 5 years reaching 421 billion VND.
Socio-economic infrastructure is being invested heavily with a total of more than VND 2,000 billion. Many key projects have been completed such as roads, administrative agency headquarters, schools, cultural houses, martyrs' shrines, etc. Education work has maintained quality, all 10/10 schools meet national standards, of which 2 schools meet level II standards. The grassroots health network operates effectively, applying technology in medical examination and treatment using citizen identification cards reaches 95%, the rate of people participating in health insurance is over 95%.
At the Congress, Mr. Le Tien Chau - Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee acknowledged and praised the results achieved by the Party Committee, government and people of the ward. Mr. Le Tien Chau requested the Tran Hung Dao Ward Party Committee to promote a proactive and creative spirit to realize development goals in the context of a new urban space.
The Secretary of the City Party Committee emphasized that Tran Hung Dao ward needs to take advantage of the advantage of being the northern gateway of Hai Phong city, bordering Bac Ninh, located on the development corridor of Hanoi - Ha Long expressway and the regional railway line. In the overall planning, the ward needs to clearly identify its position in the dynamic urban chain, proactively adjust the planning towards integration and modernity.
Developing 4 pillars, forming a tourism center in the West of the city
Also at the Congress, the Secretary of the City Party Committee proposed that the ward develop according to the 4 pillars identified by the Congress; at the same time, focus on promoting tourism linkages between Con Son - Kiep Bac with Yen Tu (Quang Ninh), Den Do (Bac Ninh) and major tourist centers of Hai Phong such as Do Son, Cat Ba.
The goal is to form a national cultural pilgrimage route, creating a unique tourism value chain - service, contributing to making Tran Hung Dao the western tourism center of the city - an attractive, safe destination, capable of increasing purchasing power and enhancing the experience for tourists.
The Secretary of the City Party Committee also noted the need to preserve and promote the tangible and intangible cultural values associated with the World Heritage Sphere of the three provinces/cities of Hai Phong - Quang Ninh - Bac Ninh; increase the attraction of investment in urban infrastructure and ancillary services, while ensuring harmonious and sustainable development.
Immediately after the Congress, the new term Party Committee needs to concretize the resolution with an action program with the motto "6 clear": clear people, clear work, clear time, clear responsibilities, clear products, clear authority. Focus on reviewing and rearranging the team of cadres and civil servants in accordance with their expertise, avoiding overlapping tasks; overcoming limitations in operating the two-level government model and reviewing the planning in accordance with the new context.
At the Congress, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee announced the decision to appoint the Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the Secretary, and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Tran Hung Dao Ward for the 2025-2030 term. Mr. Nguyen Minh Thang was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Ward Party Committee.
