On the afternoon of August 4, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, the commander of Thanh Liet Ward Police (Hanoi) said that the unit had just received a report from the bus company about a man getting into a passenger car, taking out the car key and leaving. The police are investigating.
Initial information, during the two vehicles' collision, the driver of the car with license plate 30M-258.XX blocked the passenger car, demanded compensation and took out the key of the passenger car and left it despite having nearly 40 passengers on the car at that time.
At the same time, a representative of Road Traffic Police Team No. 7 (Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police) said that this was not a simple traffic accident, the unit had sent officers and soldiers to coordinate with the ward police to verify and clarify the incident.
Previously, on the morning of August 4, a clip recorded the scene of a man suddenly jostling a passenger car, screaming to the driver and taking out the car key and leaving, and was shared on social media.
The incident occurred on Hanoi Ring Road 3 at around 7am the same day.
After the incident, the bus company reported to the authorities and sent staff to give the additional key to the driver so that the vehicle could move.
However, this took 1 hour, causing traffic congestion and making passengers on the bus tired.
