When people need it, the Front is there, when people are in difficulty, the Front is ready to participate
On the eve of the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), term 2026-2031, Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the VFF, Central mass organizations, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai wrote an article titled "Vietnam Fatherland Front - political core in gathering, uniting and promoting the role of the people in the new era in the spirit of the 14th Party Congress".
In the article, the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front affirmed: "Over the past time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels has continued to affirm its role in promoting democracy, representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of the people, participating in building the Party and government, and participating in preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness, and negativity.
Notably, the Vietnam Fatherland Front system and member organizations at all levels have actively participated in the process of building and collecting people's opinions to amend and supplement a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution; coordinated to build and submit to the National Assembly for promulgation the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Law on Trade Unions, the Law on Youth, and the Law on Implementing Democracy at the Grassroots level to promptly institutionalize the Party's viewpoints, policies, and orientations, and new regulations of the Constitution on the position, role, rights and responsibilities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations to meet new requirements and tasks.
At the same time, actively implement and mobilize people to participate in contributing opinions to build documents for Party congresses at all levels and Documents for the 14th National Party Congress with 527,764 comments.
Regarding the direction and tasks of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the coming term, the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front emphasized: "The Vietnam Fatherland Front continues to innovate the content and methods of action to mobilize the widespread participation of all classes of people, arouse patriotism, national pride, social responsibility and aspiration to develop a prosperous, civilized, and happy country. Consistently implement the motto "when people need the Front, there is, when people are in difficulty, the Front is ready to participate", meeting the requirements of the new situation and the legitimate interests and aspirations of union members, association members and people.
The strength of great national unity is a decisive factor
The 2013 Constitution (amended and supplemented in 2025 according to Resolution No. 203/2025/QH15 of the 15th National Assembly, dated June 16, 2025) in Article 9 clearly, fully and deeply defines the position and role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front: "The Vietnam Fatherland Front is a political alliance, voluntary union of political organizations, socio-political organizations, social organizations and typical individuals in social classes, ethnic groups, religions, and overseas Vietnamese. The Vietnam Fatherland Front is a part of the political system of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, led by the Communist Party of Vietnam; is the political basis of the people's government; gathers and promotes the strength of great national unity; expresses the will, aspirations and promotes the people's right to mastery; represents and protects the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of the people; implements democracy, strengthens social consensus; supervises and conducts social criticism; reflects the opinions and recommendations of the people to state agencies; participates in building the Party, the State, and people-to-people diplomacy activities, contributing to building and protecting the Fatherland”.
This is the highest institutionalization of the Platform for building the country in the transitional period to socialism (supplemented and developed in 2011) and the Party's resolutions on building the political system. The Vietnam Fatherland Front is of great voluntary solidarity, with an irreplaceable position in mobilizing the combined strength of the people, contributing to consolidating the political foundation of the Party and State.
The 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam established the aspiration to rise up and innovate with strategic goals of historical significance: By 2030, Vietnam will become a developing country with modern industry and high average income; by 2045, it will become a developed, prosperous and happy country. To achieve these goals, the Congress emphasized that it is necessary to "maximize the strength of great national unity", considering this as a decisive factor in the success or failure of the revolutionary cause in the new era.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front is the immutable pillar of the great national unity in the era of rise up and renovation after the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam. This historical role has been clearly defined by the Constitution, the history of Vietnamese revolution has been proven through more than 90 years and the reality of the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has affirmed vividly.
Maximizing the role of the VFF is not only an urgent political requirement but also a scientific requirement of the cause of building a prosperous, strong, and happy country. In the contemporary Vietnamese political system, no organization can replace the VFF in the mission of gathering, uniting, and promoting the invincible strength of the entire nation. Great national unity under the leadership of the Party, with the VFF as a key bridge, is the most solid guarantee for Vietnam to successfully realize its aspiration to reach out and stand shoulder to shoulder with the five continental powers in the 21st century.
The people's hearts battle is the foundation for building trust
Delegate Hoang Thi Bich - Delegation of the Vietnam Lawyers Association - said that after 40 years of implementing the renovation cause initiated and led by our Party, our country has achieved great achievements of historical significance. Achieving great achievements is due to the wise and talented leadership of the Party; the solidarity and unity, joint efforts of the entire Party, people and army, in which there is an important role of the great national unity bloc, the contribution of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and member organizations.
Member organizations of the Vietnam Fatherland Front also actively and effectively implemented campaigns and emulation movements with good models and creative ways of doing things, such as the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor promoting the movement "Good Labor - Creative Labor", "Good Consulting, Good Service"...
Our country is entering a new era of development, the construction, consolidation and promotion of the strength of the great national unity bloc is still a decisive factor, in which the "people's heart battle" is the foundation for building trust, attachment, consensus and support of the people towards the Party, State and regime" - delegate Hoang Thi Bich said.
Also according to the Delegate, the Vietnam Fatherland Front plays an extremely important role, being a bridge between the Party, State and people; being the center to gather, connect, propagate, and encourage all classes of people, ethnic groups, religions and typical individuals in society to promote their intelligence, strength, and feelings to jointly successfully implement the tasks of building and protecting the Fatherland.
The voice of the people through the Front and member organizations
National Assembly Deputy Nguyen Khanh Ngoc (Da Nang Delegation) said that the legal system is considered a "breakthrough of breakthrough" in creating motivation and unlocking resources, rapid and sustainable development. Therefore, the Front and member organizations need to actively participate right from the stage of summarizing law enforcement, correctly identifying practical issues being raised to propose policies and legal regulations, accurately reflecting the thoughts and legitimate aspirations of the people.
In particular, the delegate emphasized that policies that want to go into life must originate from practice and meet the legitimate interests of the people. Therefore, the role of reflecting the voice of the people through the Front and member organizations is extremely important.
