- The past 5 months have been a period of strong transformation of the entire political system of the province when implementing the major policies of the Party and State. In this context, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels has made efforts to both stabilize the organization and deploy tasks, achieving many outstanding results, including 4 main points:
First, stabilize the organization and perfect the entire apparatus in a streamlined, efficient, close to the people, close to the grassroots. We identify people as a key factor, therefore, consolidating and improving the capacity of Front cadres, especially applying information technology to innovate working methods, is considered a key task.
Second, promote the role of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the People.The Vietnam Fatherland Front has closely followed the direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the instructions of the Central Front, ensuring that all policies and guidelines are aimed at the interests of the people.All opinions, recommendations and concerns are listened to, compiled and forwarded to competent authorities in a timely and responsible manner.
Third, social supervision and criticism.The Provincial Front has organized a social review of 10 draft documents of the Provincial People's Committee and departments and branches, and commented on nearly 150 other draft documents.The frank and dedicated opinions contribute to helping policies when issued to meet the expectations of the people.
Fourth, promote the strength of national solidarity through the patriotic emulation movement. We focus on propagating and mobilizing people to well implement the Party's policies and State laws; building and replicating effective community self-management models, contributing to improving material and spiritual life and tightening neighborhood trust.
In the context of the newly merged province, how is the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in strengthening the great national unity bloc and mobilizing social resources for socio-economic development implemented, comrade?
- The merger of administrative units is a historic turning point, opening up new development space for Vinh Long, but at the same time posing challenges in synchronizing psychology and actions among the people. The Provincial Fatherland Front identifies the role of a bridge and a core to solve these problems.
We strengthen the great solidarity bloc through three spearheads: Propaganda and mobilization: Closely coordinate with member organizations, Party committees and authorities to widely propagate the purpose, significance and long-term benefits of the merger.
People understand that this change is to serve them better and create momentum for strong socio-economic development.
Promoting grassroots democracy: Strengthening the role of supervision and social criticism; promoting models of Skilled Mass Mobilization and Community Self-management. The Vietnam Fatherland Front promptly receives and resolves opinions, recommendations and concerns of the people, creating the highest consensus in society.
Religious and Ethnic Solidarity: Mobilize and unite dignitaries, religious followers and ethnic minorities, contributing to social stability and creating a combined strength of the province.
Regarding social resource mobilization, the Vietnam Fatherland Front is an coordinating and connecting organization: Mobilizing the "For the Poor" Fund and social security, expanding the network inside and outside the province, including overseas Vietnamese, businesses, organizations and individuals. People actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, donate land, contribute working days, infrastructure construction funds, and create valuable resources on the spot.
The hunger eradication and poverty reduction program is a clear demonstration. The Vietnam Fatherland Front has implemented many solutions, effectively using the "For the Poor" Fund to support the construction and repair of Great Unity houses, support production capital, give gifts, award scholarships, and medical examination and treatment. After the merger, the list of poor and near-poor households was carefully reviewed to support the right subjects, helping them escape poverty sustainably.

Innovation in propaganda and education: Helping each citizen, cadres and party members deeply understand the role, rights and responsibilities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Improve the quality of supervision and social criticism: Select issues of concern to voters and people or policies that have a great impact on life for supervision and criticism.
Promoting the role of organizing members, experts, and prestigious people: Gathering, honestly and promptly reflecting the opinions and recommendations of all classes of people to the Party Committee and the government.
Strengthen coordination with the People's Council, People's Committee and departments, branches and sectors: Build a smooth two-way information mechanism, ensuring that people's opinions are received and resolved promptly, creating trust in the Party leadership and State management and administration.
