At a press conference providing information on socio-economic issues in Ho Chi Minh City on April 9, Ms. Le Thi Hoa - Head of the Democracy and Social Review Supervision Board of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City - said that after the election of National Assembly deputies of the XVI term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has identified the supervision of the action program of National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels as a regular task throughout the term, to ensure that commitments to voters are thực chất implemented.

The city presides over and coordinates the implementation of supervision according to the following contents: summarizing the action program of delegates immediately after being elected, as a basis for monitoring and supervision throughout the term; organizing meetings between the Front and delegates to unify the coordination mechanism, reporting regime and supervision methods; implementing supervision through regular channels; requesting delegates to periodically report on the results of the action program implementation, the Front summarizes, evaluates and reflects to competent agencies.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City is gradually applying digital technology in supervision to improve efficiency and accuracy in supervision.

In which, building a database to monitor action programs, update progress and implementation results in each phase; digitizing the receipt and synthesis of voters' opinions and recommendations, connecting with monitoring activities to compare delegates' commitments with actual reflections from the people; strengthening the use of digital platforms and online channels to publicize information, creating favorable conditions for voters to participate in monitoring conveniently and promptly, gradually moving towards building an online monitoring and evaluation system to help continuous, transparent monitoring and limit formalism.
Ms. Hoa emphasized that supervision activities are not only aimed at evaluating implementation results but also at strengthening coordination and creating favorable conditions for delegates to well implement commitments to voters and people. From there, contributing to improving the operational efficiency of delegates and helping the Front to perform well its function of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of the people.
In May 2026, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City is expected to organize a meeting with National Assembly deputies and newly elected People's Council deputies to agree on the content of the action program, mechanisms, principles, forms of supervision, reporting regimes and coordination responsibilities.
In this term, the Front will innovate supervision work, organize meetings with delegates annually to create a forum for exchange, listening, and coordination between people and delegates, contributing to improving the quality of activities of people-elected agencies.
