On October 16, the Women's Union of Nghe An province held a ceremony to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2025) and met with members of the Executive Committee of the Union through the periods.
Attending the ceremony were Comrade Nguyen Thi Mai Hoa - Deputy Head of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Society; Comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; and leaders of departments, branches and organizations of the province.
At the ceremony, delegates reviewed the glorious 95-year tradition of the Vietnamese women's movement. Together with the whole country, Nghe An women always promote the spirit of solidarity, creativity, efforts to overcome difficulties, and actively contribute to the cause of building and developing the homeland.
In the 2020-2025 period alone, Nghe An Women's Union at all levels has implemented many practical activities: implementing nearly 3,955 new rural construction projects; supporting 1,096 startup ideas; consulting and introducing jobs for more than 41,000 female workers; establishing 19 cooperatives and 125 cooperative groups headed by women; sponsoring more than 3,400 orphans; building 375 new orphanages, repairing 35 shelters for charity. More than 138,000 poor and near-poor women's households have been helped, of which 4,530 households have escaped poverty sustainably.
With great contributions, Nghe An Women's Union has been awarded many noble awards by the Party and State such as the First, Second, Third Class Labor Medals and the First, Second, and Third Class Independence Medals.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh acknowledged and praised the outstanding achievements of the Association and Women's Union in the whole province, and at the same time suggested that the Association at all levels continue to innovate the content and methods of activities in accordance with the new context; focus on training and improving the capacity of female cadres; promote the spirit of "confidence, self-respect, moderation, and courage" of Nghe An women in the new era.
The leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee affirmed that they will continue to pay attention to and create favorable conditions for the Provincial Women's Union to effectively carry out propaganda work, care for the lives, jobs and protect the legitimate rights and interests of women, contributing to building happy families and a prosperous society.
