In the first 6 months of 2026, along with promoting propaganda on gender equality, the Quang Tri Provincial Women's Union focused on implementing many activities to care for women, children and policy families with a total resource of over 7.5 billion VND.
The programs implemented have contributed to timely support for difficult circumstances, especially in remote and isolated areas, ethnic minority areas and border areas.
The highlight is that the "Accompanying Border Women" Program continues to be maintained with a total mobilized budget of over 1.9 billion VND. The Provincial Women's Union coordinates with the Provincial Military Command and the Provincial Border Guard Command to organize the "Warm Spring - Reunion Tet" programs in A Doi commune and "Border Guard Spring - Warm Hearts of the People" in Kim Phu commune.
Through the programs, hundreds of gifts, livelihood models and many necessities were handed directly to women's union members and children in border areas. The "0 VND" booths organized have helped many disadvantaged families have more conditions to celebrate Tet fully and warmly. Activities directly organized by the Provincial Women's Union have a total budget of more than 400 million VND.
Not only caring for during holidays and Tet, the Associations at all levels also regularly maintain many activities to support members in particularly difficult circumstances. The "Parental Caregiver" program continues to spread deep humanistic meaning when the Associations at all levels regularly visit, encourage and support orphans.
To date, the whole province has sponsored 1,220 out of a total of 5,317 orphaned children in difficult circumstances with a total support budget of more than 23.7 billion VND. These supports not only contribute to reducing material difficulties but also become a spiritual support for them to continue studying, training and rise up in life.
Along with that, the "Million gifts to share love" program continues to be widely implemented. In the first 6 months of the year, the Associations at all levels have given gifts and supported 580 women, disabled children, orphans and those in difficult circumstances with a total budget of over 590 million VND.
On the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, the Associations at all levels simultaneously deployed many activities to care for the lives of members with the motto "not leaving any members or women behind". The work of reviewing and grasping the circumstances of members is carried out right from the grassroots level to ensure support for the right and timely subjects.
Accordingly, the total budget for visiting and giving gifts during Tet reached over 5.3 billion VND. The Provincial Women's Union alone directly visited and gave gifts to 641 Union officials from various periods, women's union members in particularly difficult circumstances and orphans with a total budget of over 325 million VND.
In parallel with social security programs, the Associations at all levels continue to effectively maintain the system of models to support women and children in the community.
The whole province currently maintains 1,420 "Reliable Addresses in the Community" models and 75 "Building Happy Families" clubs. These are important addresses to help women receive advice and support when facing difficulties, while contributing to preventing domestic violence and protecting the rights of women and children.
Through companion programs, care and practical support, the Quang Tri Provincial Women's Union continues to affirm its role as a bridge between social resources and women and children in difficult circumstances.
The achieved results not only contribute to ensuring social security but also create a foundation for effectively implementing gender equality and sustainable development goals in the locality.
