On September 16, the Nghe An Provincial Association for Promoting Education organized the 6th Congress of Delegates, term 2026 - 2031, with the participation of more than 200 official delegates.
At the congress, delegates discussed and approved the personnel project and elected the Executive Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Association for Promoting Education, term VI, 2026 - 2031, consisting of 36 members.
Immediately after that, the new Executive Committee held the first meeting, elected 11 members of the Standing Committee and the positions of Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Association.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hien continued to be trusted and elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Association for Promoting Education, term VI, term 2026 - 2031.
3 officials including Nguyen Van Khoa, Phan Thanh Doan and Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi were elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Association for Promoting Education, term VI.
The Congress also elected a delegation to attend the 7th Congress of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education, term 2026 - 2031, including 8 official delegates and 1 alternate delegate.
According to the report at the congress, for the 2021 - 2026 term, the education promotion organization system in Nghe An province continues to be consolidated. To date, 100% of communes, wards, blocks, and hamlets have education promotion organizations; the whole province has 11,558 education promotion committees in agencies and units.
The total number of scholarship members of the province is about 950,000 people, accounting for more than 27% of the population.
By the end of the term, the education promotion funds at all levels throughout the province reached over 555 billion VND. Of which, more than 396 billion VND was used to award scholarships and rewards to more than 1.097 million turns of students, teachers and learners.
In the 2026 - 2031 term, the Nghe An Provincial Association for Promoting Education determined to continue to innovate activities, promote digital transformation, build a learning society and develop the "Learning Citizen" model.
Encouragement activities are also oriented to be linked to the "Digital Literacy Program", popularizing digital skills, expanding access to knowledge and learning opportunities for people.
