On April 14, 2026, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee organized a social criticism conference on the draft Resolution of the Provincial People's Council on policies to support centralized nursing regimes for people with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of martyrs in the area.
According to data announced at the conference, the whole province currently has nearly 116,300 dossiers of people with meritorious services; of which more than 8,100 people are receiving monthly allowances, with a total budget of over 23.3 billion VND per month.
However, the implementation of centralized nursing support policies has not yet been unified, and there is no separate mechanism, while the need for health care and rehabilitation of these subjects is increasing.
After listening to the representative of the Department of Home Affairs present the draft content, delegates attending the conference highly agreed on the necessity of issuing a resolution to concretize the policy of centralized nursing support.
This is considered a necessary step to improve the social security policy system for people with meritorious services.
In the rebuttal section, many opinions suggested that the drafting agency continue to review carefully, avoiding omissions of eligible beneficiaries, especially those living in remote and isolated areas.
In addition, it is necessary to study and supplement flexible mechanisms to support cases that do not meet health conditions to participate in centralized nursing.
Some delegates also proposed adjusting the level of support expenditure to suit the reality.
At the same time, clarify the payment mechanism in a flexible direction, possibly applying the form of outsourcing or direct payment.
The determination of resources, budget balancing capacity and completion of the implementation organization mechanism are also emphasized to ensure feasibility when deploying.
Concluding the conference, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province Tran Thi Tu Vien affirmed that the promulgation of policies to support centralized nursing will ensure and contribute to improving the quality of care and health recovery for people with meritorious services and relatives of martyrs.
At the same time, this policy also widely spreads the morality of "When drinking water, remember the source", "Gratitude", showing the responsibility and feelings of the Party Committee, government and people towards the contributions and sacrifices of previous generations.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee requested the drafting agency to fully and comprehensively absorb the feedback to complete the draft resolution dossier and submit it to the Provincial People's Council for consideration and decision in the near future.
