On July 21, Phu Dien Ward People's Committee organized the 2026 All People's Day for National Security Protection, affirming the role of the people in maintaining security and order in the area.
Speaking at the festival, Chairman of Phu Dien Ward People's Committee Nguyen Van Hai said that practice has proven that the strength of protecting national security originates from the people. Ensuring security and order is the task of the whole people, by the people and for the people.
According to Mr. Hai, for more than 20 years, the All People's Day for National Security Protection has become a widespread political activity, contributing to raising awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors and people in ensuring security and order; and at the same time praising and replicating many effective models at the grassroots level.
Leaders of Phu Dien ward said that the locality has a large population scale, concentrating many residential areas, apartments, educational institutions, businesses and vibrant commercial and service activities. This is a favorable condition for socio-economic development, but also poses many requirements for state management of security and order.
The rapid urbanization process, population growth, changes in residence and production and business activities have led to many issues related to crime prevention, fire prevention and fighting, urban order, traffic safety and network security.
Faced with that requirement, the Party Committee, Ward People's Committee, together with the Fatherland Front Committee, socio-political organizations and the police force, have identified the work of ensuring security and order, building the "All people protect national security" movement as a central and regular task of the entire political system.
Over the past time, the political security situation and social order and safety in the area have basically been maintained. Propaganda work has been innovated in the direction of being close to the people, practical, and flexibly combining direct forms with digital technology and social network applications.
Many models and ways of doing things have been effective such as "3-first residential group on security and order", "Near people to support numbers", "Civilized schools - connected communities", "Safe school gates for traffic", "Public fire fighting points" and "Safe inter-family groups on fire prevention and fighting".
The Ward Police force continues to promote its core role in advising the Party Committee and government; proactively grasp the area, manage residence, prevent and combat crimes. Along with that, the force participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level is gradually consolidated, actively supporting patrols, mediation and mobilizing people to participate in protecting national security.
Through the movement, people have provided many valuable sources of information, actively participated in denouncing crimes, mediating arising conflicts, preventing fires and explosions, maintaining urban order, environmental sanitation and building safe residential areas.
At the festival, local leaders assessed that the security and order situation in the coming time still contains many complex factors. Crimes using high technology, cyber fraud, drugs, property theft and violations of fire prevention and fighting regulations continue to develop unpredictably.
To make the movement "All people protect national security" develop effectively, Phu Dien ward identifies many key tasks such as enhancing the leadership role of Party committees and authorities; promoting the core role of the police force; innovating propaganda content and methods; and at the same time promoting the application of technology and digital transformation in ensuring security and order.
In addition, the locality will continue to consolidate forces participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level; strengthen propaganda and guide people to identify scams in cyberspace, raise awareness of self-prevention, self-management and actively participate in maintaining peace in residential areas.
