On September 22, Y Thi Bich Tho - Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ngai province said that over the past 5 years, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in Quang Ngai has mobilized people to contribute more than 153,000 working days, donated nearly 310,000 m2 of land, tens of thousands of perennial trees, and more than 136 billion VND to build new rural infrastructure. Mobilized the "For the Poor" Fund with more than 190 billion VND, built more than 3,000 Great Unity houses, and supported thousands of poor households to escape poverty sustainably.
In particular, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels mobilized more than 77 billion VND and hundreds of tons of food and necessities to promptly support frontline forces and people in the epidemic area.
The campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" associated with the OCOP Program, organized over 150 fairs, more than 1,300 propaganda sessions, built 12 product introduction points, contributing to promoting Quang Ngai specialties. The campaign "Change the way of thinking and working of ethnic minorities" has helped more than 16,700 households change their thinking, reduced over 14,600 poor households, contributed to eliminating bad customs and improving the lives of ethnic minority people.
The "Creative Union" movement has sparked many initiatives, including 2 works recognized in the Vietnam Creative Golden Book.
The movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" mobilized over 122 billion VND, built and repaired nearly 9,100 houses, bringing a solid home to tens of thousands of poor households. Propaganda and mobilization work is increasingly innovative with more than 4,200 conferences and training sessions, along with a multi-channel communication system. Social supervision and criticism, emulation and reward are promoted, many outstanding collectives and individuals are honored.
With outstanding results, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Quang Ngai province was honored to receive the Third Class Independence Medal, the Government Emulation Flag and many noble awards - affirming its core role in building the great national unity bloc, contributing to the sustainable development of the homeland.
According to Ms. Y Thi Bich Tho, in the coming time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in the province and the province's socio-political organizations will focus on promoting the spirit of great national unity, patriotism, self-reliance, self-strengthening, overcoming difficulties, actively responding to patriotic emulation movements, making emulation movements a voluntary, regular act.
Focus on discovering and replicating good people, good deeds, and advanced models; improve the effectiveness and quality of supervision and social criticism work, participate in building a clean and strong Party, government, and political system.
