In recent days, information about a 7th grade student at Dai Kim Secondary School (Hanoi) who had behaved inappropriately towards his homeroom teacher (swearing his hair, grabbing the teacher, tying up toys) when the teacher confiscated sharp, sharp toys that were at risk of causing unsafety has received public attention.

The school and the education sector quickly took action, verified the information and proposed handling measures. However, the problem is how to prevent school violence.
Ms. Anh Nguyet - a teacher at Nguyen Cong Tru Secondary School (Ba Dinh, Hanoi) expressed her grief at witnessing the incident and said that this is a great lesson in the need for preventive solutions, educating awareness and life skills for students.
"Not only dangerous toys, in the classroom, there are many items such as pens, compa,... if not used properly, it will be very dangerous. Therefore, it is necessary to educate students to have enough awareness. The school also needs solutions to prevent bad situations from happening" - Ms. Nguyet said.
Citing the evidence from the school where she works, Ms. Nguyet said that since the beginning of the school year, students have participated in many activities, including the Traffic Safety Commitment Ceremony, Social evil Prevention and Use of Cell Phone in accordance with the regulations for the 2025 - 2026 school year.
Many stories and practical situations are recreated, thereby conveying the message of raising awareness of traffic participation, preventing and repelling social evils, contributing to building a safe - healthy - civilized educational environment for students. As for the school, the team in the emulation period often reminds them to do the right thing.
"Fone phones, shoes, uniforms, equipment, teachers regularly observe, remind students, and coordinate regularly and promptly with parents and students to promptly handle situations when they arise" - Ms. Anh Nguyet said.
According to Ms. Le Thi Hang, a junior high school teacher in Thanh Hoa, junior high school students are in their developmental age with many changes in thinking and awareness, prone to sudden and uncontrollable actions. Therefore, the education of children requires close coordination between schools and families.
With 27 years of working in the industry and having met many students who are backwards, Ms. Hang believes that for such students, it requires skillful teachers, combining many methods to educate and discipline them.
"To teach a student, we need to coordinate with the family and the law. For students who are not good, we must find out the causes of family and personality to coordinate" - Ms. Hang said.
In addition, this teacher believes that each school, each teacher needs to enhance education on situation handling skills for students. Only then, when any situation occurs, do they know how to handle it, ensuring safety for themselves and those around them.
"The incident at Dai Kim Secondary School needs the conclusion of the authorities. But clearly, this can be considered a lesson to educate students. We can completely instruct them, when similar violence occurs, to seek help from security guards or adults around them" - Ms. Hang said.
