Ho Chi Minh City has just organized a training program to standardize the capacity to advise on digital transformation for hundreds of Party and Front cadres.

On the morning of May 4, at the Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Cadres, the opening ceremony of the Training and Fostering Program to improve knowledge and skills for officials in charge of advising on digital transformation and information technology at Party and Fatherland Front agencies of the city and commune levels in 2026 took place.

This is a program organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee in coordination with units, attracting more than 700 students to participate.

The training program takes place from May 4 to May 16 in a centralized form; some topics are connected online to wards, communes, and special zones to provide knowledge about digital transformation and information technology for cadres and civil servants. The class combines theory, real-world drills and handling of real-world situations, and students practice at Quang Trung Software Park.

The program is organized to equip the team of cadres and civil servants with basic knowledge of information technology and digital transformation, especially cadres who do not have basic knowledge of information technology, ensuring they have sufficient capacity to perform assigned tasks; improve management, operation, exploitation, and effective use skills, coordinate handling of tasks related to information technology infrastructure, information security and digital application platforms being deployed at agencies and units...

In addition, the training also aims to standardize the advisory capacity on digital transformation, helping in-charge officials firmly grasp the goals, tasks, and solutions for digital transformation; advising Party committees and agency leaders in organizing and implementing promptly and in accordance with the Party's guidelines and policies.

According to Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Van Thi Bach Tuyet, Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo affirms that digital transformation is the most important driving force for breakthroughs in productivity and management efficiency.

In the context of the country implementing streamlining the organizational structure and operating the two-level local government model, information technology and digital transformation are the key "key" to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the entire political system.

With the position of economic locomotive, the science and technology center of the country, Ho Chi Minh City must take the lead and set an example in implementing this goal. Ms. Van Thi Bach Tuyet said that agencies in the city's political system have basically completed infrastructure to serve digital transformation, from network infrastructure, information technology infrastructure to equipment serving the work of cadres and civil servants... meeting the requirements of task deployment in the current period.
