On the morning of May 4, the Project Management Board for Construction Investment of Vuon Lai Ward held a groundbreaking ceremony for the project to expand Tran Binh Trong street (section from Hung Vuong street to Ly Thai To street).
The Tran Binh Trong road section, about 377 m long, will be expanded to a road boundary of 23 m. In which, the road surface is expanded from the existing 5 m to 15 m, meeting 4 lanes of traffic; sidewalks on each side are 4 m wide.
The project is implemented synchronously with many items such as renovating the drainage system, paving sidewalks with granite, and undergrounding the electricity and telecommunications systems.

To implement the project, there are 116 cases of land acquisition, of which 97 cases are subject to full clearance.
In the total investment of more than 985 billion VND, construction and consulting costs accounted for more than 40 billion VND, the rest was for compensation, support and resettlement.
According to the plan, the project will be completed in September 2026.
When put into use, the road not only contributes to reducing traffic load for Hung Vuong, Ly Thai To, Le Hong Phong roads and adjacent routes, but also completes the drainage system, improves the landscape and improves the quality of life for people.
Notably, the project is also associated with the renovation of land plot No. 1 Ly Thai To, creating a more modern urban appearance for Vuon Lai ward.

Mr. Huynh Van Tam - Chairman of Vuon Lai Ward People's Committee - said that the project to renovate the arch culvert combined with expanding Tran Binh Trong street is a long-awaited desire that has lasted for 4 terms, equivalent to more than 20 years of the government and local people.
The existing arch culvert system has been built for more than 70 years, and is now seriously degraded, posing a risk of subsidence, affecting people's safety.

Ward leaders requested the investor and construction units, supervision consultants to implement the project with the highest sense of responsibility, ensuring progress, quality, labor safety and environmental sanitation.
The goal is to complete the project before September 2, 2026, towards celebrating the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
