On April 3, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFFC) of Ho Chi Minh City organized a conference to summarize the Front's work in participating in the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term in Ho Chi Minh City. The conference was organized directly combined online to 168 bridge points in wards, communes, and special zones in the city.
Speaking at the conference, Ms. Truong Thi Bich Hanh - Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City said that in the overall success of the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front system at all levels in the city has well promoted its role and responsibility in accordance with the provisions of law, guidance of the Central Government and direction of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
The Front system has proactively and actively coordinated with relevant agencies and organizations to comprehensively implement the tasks of participating in the election. The achieved results not only affirm the position and role of the Front system in socio-political life, but also make an important contribution to consolidating people's trust in the Party and the State.
Ms. Truong Thi Bich Hanh requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front system of the city to deploy the next tasks under its responsibility to continue promoting the achieved results.
In which, promoting the role in propaganda and mobilization of people to exercise their rights and obligations as citizens, consolidating the trust of voters, grasping the thoughts and aspirations after the election; coordinating with relevant agencies to organize voter contacts of National Assembly deputies and People's Councils at all levels, summarizing and reflecting opinions and recommendations to competent agencies.
Promoting the role of supervision and social criticism, especially supervising the implementation of the action program of elected delegates; consolidating and improving the quality of grassroots Front cadres, innovating methods of activities close to the people, close to the people, serving the people.
At the same time, proactively summarize and comprehensively draw lessons from Front work participating in elections, especially good models and effective ways of doing things.
