On March 7, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City held a meeting to celebrate the 1986th anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung Uprising and the 116th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8, 1910 - March 8, 2026).
The meeting aims to create conditions for meeting, exchanging, and exchanging work experiences; contributing to strengthening solidarity and cohesion among the contingent of Front officials at all levels. At the same time, encouraging and motivating female officials to continue to promote their roles and responsibilities in performing political tasks and Front and people's organization work.
At the meeting, delegates also shared experiences in organizing voter contact and election campaigns, and organizing biography discussions for candidates for the 16th National Assembly and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City expressed his appreciation for the contributions of women in the Front system as well as in social life. At the same time, he affirmed the important role of women in the development of families and communities.
The Party Committee and government of Ho Chi Minh City always pay attention to women and children's work. Investing in women and children's work is also investing in sustainable development and the future of society.
