Over 1,000 billion VND to support people affected by storms and floods

The amount of donations through the account of the Central Relief Mobilization Committee has reached over 1,000 billion VND.

Continuing to respond to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), on October 16, Mr. Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Central organizations, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front - received support from the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the overseas Vietnamese community of 12 billion VND to share with people in provinces that are heavily affected by storms and floods.

Awarding the donation to the Central Relief Mobilization Committee - Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mr. Le Hoai Trung - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs - shared and responded to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to mobilize support for people to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 10, on the morning of October 3, 2025, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a launching ceremony to call on all cadres, employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the overseas Vietnamese community to actively support the material and spiritual needs of the people in the provinces affected by storms and floods.

As of October 13, 2025, the amount of donations from the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the overseas Vietnamese community is more than 12 billion VND and more than 5,000 USD. Most of the above amount was sent into the account of the Central Relief Mobilization Committee - Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Currently, representative agencies and the Vietnamese community are continuing to organize donation activities, the donations will continue to be compiled and transferred to the account of the Central Relief Mobilization Committee as soon as possible.

Expressing his appreciation for the role and proactiveness and timeliness of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the face of the heavy damage caused by floods, Mr. Le Hoai Trung shared that the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and people abroad hope that this amount of money will contribute to the Party and State in a timely manner to support people in the provinces to have more motivation to overcome difficulties.

Mr. Do Van Chien highly appreciated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for being a bridge in propaganda and mobilizing overseas Vietnamese to join hands to support when the country is facing difficulties due to natural disasters and epidemics; at the same time, making efforts to coordinate to allocate support resources from international friends to people in provinces affected by storms and floods.

Mr. Do Van Chien shared that with the strong direction of the Politburo and the Secretariat, the people of the provinces are focusing on overcoming and rebuilding their lives after floods. Along with the support resources of the Party and the State, up to this point, the amount of support through the account of the Central Relief Mobilization Committee has reached over 1,000 billion VND.

In particular, Vingroup Corporation has initially donated VND500 billion with a commitment to accompany the Vietnam Fatherland Front in providing timely support to families who have been severely affected by storms overlapping floods in recent days.

We are committed to using support resources for the right purposes and effectively, allocating them to the right addresses and in accordance with the provisions of law, Mr. Do Van Chien emphasized and hoped that in the coming time, every Vietnamese person, whether at home or overseas Vietnamese, will continue to promote the tradition of mutual love, love others as if loving others, each person will have a heart so that people in flooded areas have more resources to overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.

Also on October 16, Mr. Do Van Chien received support from 5 universities under the Ministry of Industry and Trade in the amount of 2 billion VND. In which: Hanoi University of Industry: 400 million VND; Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry: 500 million VND; University of Economics and Technology of Industry 400 million VND; Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade 400 million VND; University of Electricity 300 million VND.

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front received support from many agencies, organizations and individuals to join hands to support people in the provinces to overcome the consequences of floods: Bao Viet Group with 2 billion VND; Phenikaa Group with 1 billion VND; Mai Viet Real Estate Joint Stock Company with 300 million VND; Association of Vietnamese people in Upha city - Russian Federation with 255 million VND; ACAC Academy Joint Stock Company with 30 million VND.
