Ho Chi Minh City - Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Truong Thi Bich Hanh received the French Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City on the occasion of receiving a new assignment.

On May 20, Ms. Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, had a reception for Mr. Etienne Ranaivoson, French Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, who came to pay a courtesy visit on the occasion of receiving a new assignment.

At the reception, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Truong Thi Bich Hanh congratulated Mr. Etienne Ranaivoson on taking over the task of French Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City. On behalf of the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City, Ms. Truong Thi Bich Hanh respectfully thanked the French Consulate General and the Consul General personally for many practical activities such as: Caring for and creating the most favorable conditions for members of the working delegation of the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Victims of Agent Orange/dioxin to visit and work in France at the end of April 2026, with the main activity being attending the inauguration ceremony of the Monument to Victims of Agent Orange/dioxin in District 13, Paris capital.

This is an event held for the first time in the world, with profound political and humanitarian significance, marking an important step in the journey to bring the voice of Agent Orange victims to the international community...

In the coming time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front system of Ho Chi Minh City will continue to accompany the city in key tasks such as digital transformation, building solidarity, affection, self-management, and safety residential areas; participating in solving people's livelihoods, environment, security and order issues and improving the quality of life of people.
