On July 21, on behalf of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Member of the Presidium, Head of the Committee for Ethnic Minorities and Religious Affairs of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, presented the support money to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lai Chau province.
This amount of money is the feelings and hearts of state agencies, businesses, officials, civil servants, and employees; Member organizations of the Fatherland Front from the Central to grassroots levels; Entrepreneurs, artists, intellectuals, our compatriots abroad and foreigners living and working in Vietnam, together promoting the tradition of compassion, joining hands to support with the desire that together with other sources of support mobilized by the Lai Chau Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, they will be allocated promptly, publicly, and transparently to support families with deceased, missing, and injured people; support households whose houses have collapsed, been damaged, had to be evacuated and relocated, and support people to restore production, livelihoods, and soon rebuild their lives.
Towards the people affected by floods
From July 16 to July 17, 2026, prolonged heavy rain occurred in Muong Than commune, Lai Chau province, causing flash floods, landslides and serious landslides, sweeping away 13 houses of people. By 5 pm on July 20, 2026, natural disasters had caused 07 deaths, 02 missing people and 08 injured people, causing heavy damage to people and property, pushing many families into extremely difficult circumstances.
