Orders from real life
The recent storms and floods have caused severe damage in many areas in Lam Dong.
Dozens of houses of people, mainly poor households, near-poor households, policy families and ethnic minorities, had their roofs blown off, walls collapsed, and were seriously damaged, no longer ensuring the safety of daily life, especially in erratic weather conditions.
Colonel Tran Viet Hung - Political Commissar of the Border Guard Command of Lam Dong province said that natural disasters have left behind great gaps in people's lives, not only material loss but also worries about housing as Tet approaches.
Based on that reality, the Border Guard Command of Lam Dong province determined that helping people overcome the consequences of natural disasters, repair and rebuild houses is not only an emergency task, but also an order from the heart of the Border Guard soldiers - a force that is always closely attached to the people of the border area.
Border guards quickly coordinated with local authorities to review and count the level of damage in each area and household, thereby advising on appropriate support plans.
D'Ran commune is one of the key areas of the campaign. Here, the working groups quickly surveyed each house, assessed the extent of damage to come up with a suitable repair or rebuilding plan, ensuring safety, sustainability, and long-term use.

Complete before Tet - a meaningful gift for the people
Major Nguyen Vinh Truong - Deputy Head of Logistics - Technical Department, Head of the Repair Team for the Construction of Houses to help People, Lam Dong Provincial Border Guard Command said that this is not only a political task but also the responsibility and affection of Border Guards towards the people, so officers and soldiers all work with the highest spirit, taking advantage of every hour and every day to help people soon stabilize their lives.
During the campaign implementation days, the working atmosphere at the projects was always bustling from early morning to late afternoon.
Regardless of holidays or breaks, regardless of rain or shine, Border Guard officers and soldiers directly participate in the steps from leveling the ground, digging foundations, transporting materials to frame building, building walls, and roofing.
In addition, the Border Guard force also guides people on construction techniques, how to arrange reasonable living spaces, suitable to the actual conditions of each family.
For households in special difficulties, units proactively connect and mobilize social resources to support additional construction materials, joining hands to complete the house.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Truc Ly (Quang Lac village, D'Ran commune) emotionally shared that without the timely help of officers and soldiers of Lam Dong Provincial Border Guard, the repair and reconstruction of her family's house would take a long time, not even knowing when it would be possible.
One of the important requirements of the "Quang Trung Campaign" is that housing projects must be completed and handed over before January 31, 2026, so that households can feel secure in enjoying Spring and celebrating Tet in their new homes.
This is not only a milestone in technical progress, but also has profound humanitarian significance, helping people in disaster areas stabilize their material lives, reduce worries and increase motivation to overcome difficulties.
Implementing the "Quang Trung Campaign" in Lam Dong is a continuation of the good tradition of the Border Guard - always present in the most difficult places, ready to sacrifice personal interests for the peaceful and prosperous life of the people.
Amid the bustling pace of life at the end of the year, the image of the Border Guards quietly contributing to rebuilding the houses has left many beautiful emotions, fostering trust and strong affection between the army and people in the border of the Fatherland.
