On December 16, Lam Dong Provincial Department of Home Affairs organized a professional training course for the team of labor arbitrators and labor mediators in the province.
In her opening speech, Ms. Le Thi Theu - Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Lam Dong province - said that after the newly established Lam Dong province with 124 communes, wards, and special zones, the management area has expanded, and the scale of labor has increased.
Along with the strong development of enterprises and cooperatives, labor relations have become diverse and complex, with the potential risk of disputes increasing.
According to Ms. Theu, that practice poses an increasingly high requirement for the team of arbitrators and labor conciliators in maintaining harmonious and stable labor relations, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of employers and employees.

Ms. Theu also said that after the arrangement and operation of the local government at two levels, Lam Dong province has completed the team of referees and labor mediators. However, most of the newly appointed labor conciliators at the commune level lack experience and face many difficulties in resolving labor disputes at the grassroots level.
The training course was held on December 16 and 17. Here, the reporters who are experts from the International Labor Organization (ILO) discussed and clarified the provisions of labor law, especially the issues that often arise in the signing, implementation and termination of labor contracts.
In addition, students are also discussed and handled practical situations to improve the skills and expertise of referees and mediators in resolving labor disputes.
Sharing at the training class, Ms. Trinh Doan Hanh Tram - a labor organizer in Tan Ha Lam Ha commune - said that the training program is very practical and useful.
"Through the class, we have updated new knowledge, practiced necessary skills and exchanged many valuable experiences to improve the effectiveness of labor dispute mediation at the grassroots level," said Ms. Tram.
