The strongest wind near the storm center is level 13 (134-149 km/h), gusting to level 16. The storm is moving west-northwest at a speed of about 30 km/h.
It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, the storm will move west-northwest, about 30 km/h. At 1:00 p.m. on November 9, the center of the storm is forecast to be at about 14.9 degrees north latitude; 124.0 degrees east longitude, about 280 km east-southeast of Luzon Island (Philippines). The storm is likely to strengthen, reaching super typhoon level 16, gusting above level 17.
It is forecasted that in the next 48 hours, the storm will continue to move west-northwest, at a speed of 20-25 km/h and will decrease in intensity. At 1:00 p.m. on November 10, the center of the storm was at about 16.9 degrees north latitude; 119.3 degrees east longitude, in the sea east of the northern East Sea. Strong intensity level 13, gust level 16.
The dangerous area at sea is from latitude 14 to 19 degrees north; east of longitude 117.5 degrees east. The natural disaster risk level is level 3 for the eastern sea area of the northern East Sea.
It is forecasted that in the next 72 hours, the storm will change direction to the north-northeast, at a speed of 10-15 km/h. At 1:00 p.m. on November 11, the center of the storm was at about 19.2 degrees north latitude; 118 degrees east longitude, in the eastern sea of the northern East Sea. Strong intensity level 13, gust level 16.
The danger zone is from latitude 15 to 21.5 degrees north; east of longitude 116.0 degrees east. The natural disaster risk level continues to be at level 3 for the eastern sea area of the northern East Sea.
In the next 72 to 120 hours, the storm will tend to move north, then northeast. The speed can travel 10-15 km per hour, then increase to 20-25 km; the intensity tends to decrease gradually.
Forecast of impacts at sea, from the night of November 8, the sea area east of the northern East Sea will have winds gradually increasing to level 6-7, then increasing to level 8-9; the area near the storm center will be strong at level 10-12, gusting to level 14-15; waves 3-5 m high, then increasing to 6-8 m; the sea will be very rough.
During the period of November 10-12, the sea area east of the northern East Sea is likely to be affected by strong winds of storms of level 11-13, gusts of level 16, waves 8-10 m high; rough seas.
All ships operating in the danger zone are at high risk of being affected by thunderstorms, whirlwinds, strong winds and large waves.
