According to the Ha Tinh Border Guard Command, at 11:00 a.m. on November 4, the unit received a report from a fishing vessel management facility in Thanh Hoa province, requesting rescue support for fishing vessel registration TH 90701 TS, capacity 500CV, owned by Mr. Le P.T. (36 years old, hometown of Hoang Tien commune, Thanh Hoa province) is a captain, fishing offshore, with 10 people on board.
This fishing boat departed from the fishing port in Hau Loc commune (Thanh Hoa province) on October 29 and moved to Lach Quyen fishing port (Nghe An province). When it reached the coordinates of 18.26 degrees North latitude - 106.59 degrees East longitude, it encountered strong winds, so it broke the duck leg and drifted freely at sea.
Through inspection on the GPS positioning system, at the time of the TH 90701 TS fishing boat incident, it was about 38.6 nautical miles east-southeast of Vung Ang - Son Duong port (Ha Tinh province).
Immediately after receiving the report, the Ha Tinh Border Guard Command proactively notified the authorities of Vung Ang ward and functional forces at Vung Ang - Son Duong Port such as: Ha Tinh Maritime Port Authority, the port's towing ship department, Lao - Viet International Port Joint Stock Company... to proactively respond in a timely manner.
However, due to the influence of the Northeast monsoon, the coastal areas of Ha Tinh province still have winds of level 6, gusting to level 7. Currently, towing vessels and ships of units at Vung Ang - Son Duong port have not been able to come to support the rescue of fishing boat TH 90701 TS.
The Ha Tinh Border Guard Command continues to coordinate with the Ha Tinh Maritime Port Authority, functional forces and captains of the TH 90701 TS ship to update and report on the situation of fishing vessels and the health of crew members.
On the afternoon of November 5, an officer of Vung Ang - Son Duong Border Guard Station said that the unit had also proactively contacted the owner of fishing boat TH 90701 TS but had not been able to contact him.
Regarding the disaster of this ship, some functional units in Vung Ang, including Ha Tinh Port Authority, have also proactively contacted many other ships to request that if they were found at sea, they should participate in support and rescue, but so far there have been no results.
