According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 1:00 AM on July 2, the center of the tropical depression was located at about 16.8 degrees North latitude - 115.2 degrees East longitude, over the North East Sea area, about 400km east of the Hoang Sa special zone. The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression is strong at level 7 (50-61 km/h), gusting at level 9; moving in the Northwest direction at a speed of about 25 km/h.

Forecast for the next 24 hours, the tropical depression will move in a West-Northwest direction at a speed of about 15 km/h, with the possibility of strengthening into storm No. 1. By 1:00 AM on July 3, the storm center will be located at about 17.5 degrees North latitude - 111.9 degrees East longitude; over the sea area north of the Hoang Sa special zone. The strongest wind near the storm center is strong at level 8, gusting at level 10.

The dangerous area is at about 16 degrees North latitude - 18.5 degrees North latitude; 110 degrees East longitude - 116 degrees East longitude. The disaster risk level is level 3 for the Northern East Sea area (including the Hoang Sa special zone).

Forecast for the next 48 hours, the storm will move in a Northwest direction at a speed of about 15 km/h. By 1:00 AM on July 4, the storm center will be located at about 18.4 degrees North latitude - 110.6 degrees East longitude; over Hainan Island (China). The strongest wind near the storm center is strong at level 8, gusting at level 10.

The dangerous area is at about 16.5 degrees North latitude - 20 degrees North latitude; 109 degrees East longitude - 113 degrees East longitude. The disaster risk level is level 3 for the western sea area of the Northern East Sea (including the Hoang Sa special zone), and the eastern sea area of the Gulf of Tonkin.

From the next 48 to 72 hours, the storm will move in a North-Northwest direction, moving about 15 km per hour.

Regarding the impact of the tropical depression, the Northern East Sea area (including the Hoang Sa special zone) has strong winds of level 6-7, gusts of level 9, sea waves 2-3m high, strong rough seas; from the afternoon of July 2nd, the area near the storm center passing through level 8-9, gusts of level 11-12, sea waves 3-5m high, very strong rough seas.

Ships operating in the above-mentioned dangerous areas are likely to be affected by thunderstorms, tornadoes, strong winds, and large waves.
