According to the meteorological agency, storm No. 13 made landfall in Dak Lak-Gia Lai, continuing to cause strong winds from tonight to November 6 and very heavy rain tonight and tomorrow.

The area from Hue to Khanh Hoa has had heavy rain, some places over 170mm; some stations recorded very heavy rain such as Xuan Son Nam (Dak Lak) 243mm, Dak Pling (Gia Lai) 185mm, Tra Thanh (Quang Ngai) 203mm.

Storm No. 13 weakens to level 11-12

Latest update from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 9:00 p.m. on November 6, the center of storm No. 13 was at about 13.8 degrees north latitude; 108.7 degrees east longitude, on the mainland of Dak Lak - Gia Lai provinces.

The strongest wind near the storm center is level 11-12 (103-133km/h), gusting to level 14. It is forecasted that in the next 3 hours, the storm will move mainly in the west-northwest direction, at a speed of about 25-30km/h.

It is forecasted that in the next 6 hours, the storm will move west-northwest at about 30 km/h, moving deep into the mainland and gradually weakening. At 1:00 a.m. on November 7, the center of the storm was at about 14.3 degrees north latitude - 107.8 degrees east longitude; on the mainland from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak. Strong wind level 8, gust level 10.

It is forecasted that in the next 12 hours, the storm will continue to move west-northwest at about 30 km/h, to the southern Laos and weaken into a tropical depression, with winds of level 6, gusting to level 8.

It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, the tropical depression will weaken into a low pressure area in the eastern part of Thailand, with winds below level 6.

Strong winds continue to persist for the next 2-3 hours

On land, south of Da Nang to Dak Lak, winds of level 6-9, the storm center will pass through level 10-12, gusting to level 14. The focus is on the eastern part of Quang Ngai - Gia Lai and the north of Dak Lak. From southern Quang Tri to northern Da Nang and northern Khanh Hoa, winds will be level 6-7, gusting to level 8-9. The strongest wind will be from the evening to the night of November 6.

Regarding heavy rain, from the evening of November 6 to 7, Da Nang to Dak Lak will have very heavy rain of 150-300mm, some places over 450mm; the south of Quang Tri to Hue, Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong will have heavy rain of 100-250mm, some places over 400mm. From November 8, heavy rain in the above areas tends to decrease.

From November 7 to November 8, Thanh Hoa to the north of Quang Tri will have rain of 50-150mm, some places over 200mm. Warning of the risk of local heavy rain with rainfall greater than 200mm/3 hours. It is necessary to be on guard against thunderstorms, whirlwinds, and strong gusts of wind before and during the storm's landfall.

At sea, the sea area west of the central East Sea will have strong winds of level 6-8, gusts of level 10, waves 3-5m high; rough seas.

The sea area from southern Da Nang to Dak Lak (including Ly Son special area, Cu Lao Cham island) will have strong winds of level 8-9, waves 3.0-5.0m high; the area near the storm's eye will have strong winds of level 10-12, gusts of level 14, waves 5-7m high; the sea will be very rough.

The sea area from southern Quang Tri to northern Da Nang and Khanh Hoa will have strong winds of level 6-7, gusts of level 8-9, waves 2-4m high; rough seas.

Coastal areas from southern Quang Tri to Dak Lak will have storm surge of 0.5-1.0m high. The highest sea level is in Thuan An (1.0m), Son Tra (1.2m), Hoi An (1.3m), Dung Quat (1.5m), Quy Nhon (1.2m), Tuy Hoa (1.1m).

Coastal areas from South Quang Tri - Dak Lak should be on guard against rising sea levels accompanied by large waves causing flooding in low-lying areas, waves of overflows of dykes, coastal roads, and coastal erosion, slowing flood drainage in the area. All ships, boats, and aquaculture areas in the above-mentioned dangerous areas are strongly affected by thunderstorms, whirlwinds, strong winds, large waves, and rising sea levels.
