At about 5:00 p.m. on November 6, in Vinh Phu, Thanh Long, My Khanh villages and village 7, Long Phung commune, Quang Ngai province, a tornado appeared with heavy rain and strong gusts of wind. The tornado blew off the corrugated iron roofs, blew off the tiled roofs of many houses, and damaged the belongings of households in the area. Fortunately, the tornado did not cause any human casualties.
According to initial statistics, the tornado caused 18 houses to have their roofs blown off and many trees to fall. Currently, the Long Phung commune area is still experiencing rain due to the impact of storm No. 13. The local government has mobilized militia and police forces to the scene to support people in temporary repairs, and at the same time, reviewed and evacuated households in high-risk areas to ensure safety.
