Latest update from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 4:00 p.m. on November 15, the center of storm No. 9 was located at approximately 21.2 degrees north latitude; 119.8 degrees east longitude, in the northeastern sea area of the North East Sea. The strongest wind near the center of the storm is level 10 (89-102 km/h), gusting to level 12. The storm is moving northwest at a speed of approximately 15 km/h.
In the next 24 hours, the storm is forecast to move north and then turn northeast at a speed of 10-15km/h and gradually weaken. At 4:00 p.m. on November 16, the center of the storm was at about 23 degrees north latitude - 121.4 degrees east longitude; in the sea east of Taiwan (China).
The strongest wind near the storm center is level 8, gusting to level 10.
It is forecasted that in the next 48 hours, the storm will move east-northeast at a speed of 5-10km/h and weaken into a tropical depression. At 4:00 p.m. on November 17, the center of the tropical depression will be at about 23.8 degrees north latitude - 122.8 degrees east longitude; in the sea east of Taiwan (China).
The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression is level 6 - 7, gusting to level 9.
Regarding the impact of the storm at sea, the northeastern sea area of the North East Sea has strong winds of level 7 - 8, the area near the storm's center has winds of level 9 - 10, gusts of level 12, waves 2 - 4m high, the area near the center is 4 - 6m; the sea is very rough.
Ships operating in the above mentioned dangerous areas are likely to be affected by storms, whirlwinds, strong winds and large waves.
