Soil moisture models show that some areas in the above provinces are nearly saturated (over 85%) or have reached a saturated state.
In the next 3 - 6 hours (from 2:30 p.m. on July 11), it is forecasted that the above provinces will continue to have rain with common accumulated rainfall in Dien Bien, Son La and Ha Tinh from 20 - 40mm, some places over 70mm; rainfall in Tuyen Quang and Thai Nguyen from 30 - 50mm, some places over 80mm.
In the next 6 hours (from 14:30 on July 11), there is a risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes in many communes/wards.
