Updated bulletin issued at 8:30 am on June 30 from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, through monitoring on satellite images, weather radar images and lightning positioning data shows convective clouds forming and developing in the ward/commune area: Tay Ho, Xuan Dinh, Ngoc Ha, Giang Vo, Hoang Liet, Dai Thanh belonging to Hanoi city.
In the period from now until the next 3 hours, the above-mentioned wards/communes will have showers and thunderstorms, then the thunderstorm cloud area will continue to spread to other areas of Hanoi city. In thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
The meteorological agency also forecasts that from the morning of June 30 to the night of July 1, the mountainous and midland areas of the Northern region, Quang Ninh and Hai Phong City will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall of 60 - 120mm, locally very heavy rain over 250mm. Rain time is concentrated in the late afternoon, night and morning.
From the morning of June 30th to the morning of July 1st, other places in the North and Thanh Hoa will have moderate to heavy rain with common rainfall of 30 - 60mm, locally very heavy rain over 120mm. Rain time is concentrated in the late afternoon, night and morning. Warning of the risk of heavy rain with rainfall greater than 100mm/3 hours.
