At around 3:00 p.m. on February 13, the section of Vam Cong bridge heading towards Cao Lanh City (Dong Thap Province) was covered in unusual fog and smoke. According to the reporter's records, vehicles moving across the bridge were quite slow and had their lights on to ensure safety.
According to some locals, this is quite a strange phenomenon because before now the fog only appeared in the early morning and gradually dissipated at noon.
"Today, the fog has appeared since noon and there is no sun. This phenomenon has caused a feeling of suffocation and extreme discomfort" - a resident who sells goods near the Vam Cong bridge shared with us.
Others say the cause could be factory emissions or smoke from farmers burning fields.
