Surprised by the garbage collection site near my house
People living on Vo An Ninh Street, Cam Le District, Da Nang City, especially households only about 500m from the construction and demolition of solid waste collection site, are suffering from serious environmental pollution, with dust flying into their homes. More notably, they only knew about the existence of this staging area after it was suspended.
Mr. Pham Van Khoi (character's name has been changed), living on Vo An Ninh Street, only 500m from the landfill, said: "We don't understand why the landfill is located so close to the residential area. Previously, we were completely unaware of its existence."
According to some local people, every day there are hundreds of trucks carrying construction waste (throwing in landfill and debris). These vehicles dump mud at night, and construction waste during the day, the garbage is as stuffed as mountains, the roads are dusty, and the air is polluted.
